Tying the knot and the wait for the big Vday

My beautiful friend Chezka got married today with the love of her life. It was romantic and solemn. She is one of the prettiest brides I've ever seen ^^ best wishes my dear friend!

Chezka's lola and the bride, Chezka.
And also the high school barkada was seated at far end corner of the room, and yes we were the noisiest and fun-nest (is there such a word?) And I told myself, it was one wonderful day!

Well, it was a wonderful day but pretty tiring so I'll sleep early to recover. AND tomorrow is a big day for me, after reading the book, it was my dream to watch it performed live and yes tomorrow is the DAY!
Tomorrow, sweet sweet tomorrow, please come sooner. Can barely wait for you.

Let's start the 50 day countdown

Today is the start of 50-day countdown! My only prayer is for him to arrive home safe and sound. Cherry blossoms will you greet him for me?!

How weird is this? Yesterday, we went to Eastwood, Masa and I with Romina (her new office location) and guess who we saw, P-Noy, no less. Astig talaga!! We were 30 feet away from him. I think it was kind of an OPM event, and P-Noy is a huge fan of OPM himself. Too bad no picture, but Masa managed to snap some gorgeous angles from our vantage point.

Of course, churros brightened up our afternoon. Then after touring around the area we enjoyed candlelit dinner topped with sparkling wine.

Cozy and invigorating. Got the image from this awesome site.
Between today and May 17, I'll have to review my ichi-ni-san skills for my upcoming exam!
Gambatte to me!
Masa, I will miss our baa gaa time together :'( but I know we'll have lots of burger time next next month.
Te quiero Masa.

Enter

“Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they've all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.”
― Neil GaimanThe Sandman, Vol. 5: A Game of You

“When we hold each other, in the darkness, it doesn't make the darkness go away. The bad things are still out there. The nightmares still walking. When we hold each other we feel not safe, but better. "It's all right" we whisper, "I'm here, I love you." and we lie: "I'll never leave you." For just a moment or two the darkness doesn't seem so bad.”
― Neil GaimanNeil Gaiman's Midnight Days

One of the best sandman stories for me, Ramadan from Fables and Reflections. Will actually read it again soon.

Star stuff

Our obligation to survive and flourish is owed not just to ourselves but also to that
cosmos ancient and vast from which we spring. We are one species.
We are star stuff harvesting star light. - Carl Sagan

if all else fails . . .

Feeling a bit sentimental. My mind is singing this song this morning, might as well post it. I love the tune!

The answer

I was a bit troubled yesterday, not sure why, maybe because of all the things happening around me: hell week, deadlines to meet, moving out, moving in, settling back to Cavite and finding new career, letting go of the old beliefs and making new connections. All these details were swimming in my head last night and they still do right now actually. Cannot really focus and I tend to float around, thinking of so many things, getting carried away, I have this feeling that I am not really where I am, my thoughts are racing and the crazy haze all around me makes everything confusing. So, I decided to take it easy and consult some wise guidance this is what I got:

Consider the path of COMMITMENT. A step forward for you would be to commit yourself to a relationship or cause. Do not take this pledge lightly.

Time to face reality I guess. Time to give myself a doze of back to reality tablet and start working on fixing stuffs. Now, I should start massive research,  I must consider and carefully plan huge methodological shift and begin to believe that somehow things will start getting back to normal. Now, I have to use this time to consider what that COMMITMENT should be.

Well, hello world! Been floating away lately but here I am now, I am so back and I need to do some major house cleaning, in and out! I know it will take a lot of energy and planning and frustration and disruptions but I am in for the long haul, so I'm on it. Bring it on!

New beginnings and red rose

Red always symbolise life for me. Today I feel like this is the start of something new. I don't know but it just feels like it. Maybe after the darkness and confusion of the past month, finally I get a hold of myself this week. Inside I feel like a bit different, perhaps new perspectives, new plans, new routines to try, new territory to explore, new long term visions and new patterns of thought.

Perhaps Freedom!
Happy new life to all.

Here's to spring! We dared, as a result we become! Welcome March Equinox.

I dig Bob Marley

Time to recuperate

Soon, when life is less crazy, soon when life is quieter, soon when life is gentler, I will go back to posting again, but now, I will just be here in this bliss hole, healing myself and my life (hopefully).

Living the hermit life

Am staying home today. Actually, I needed this isolation from the world for a very long time now. So, my friends, here is one saying that I'd like to share to you. I hope this will inspire you to go on with life though it is sometimes difficult.

If we pray, we will believe;
If we believe, we will love
If we love, we will serve.

Service is my poetry

Uno. During Anthro class, my professor was talking about the Dharma of Rama and Sita, oh I love the intertextual synchronicity of my life: I have my Buddhist Teacher in the morning teaching me about my Dharma, then I go to my Anthro class that teaches me worldview through folklore of particular countries, then I get to fuse them in my mind -- the Dharma of Faith and the teachings of culture that touches on some socio-cultural Dharma designed by religion, they sometimes conflict but I guess the bigger perspective is that I am learning how to look at how the dynamics really work. The secret is the fusion, the magic is there in the part where it is actually working! Eureka! I am really having a good time right now.

Dos. The application part is the ecological symposium -- i learned that Philippines is one of the 33 spots of rich biodiversity, wow isn't that uber amazing! I mentioned application part because, I guess my Dharma is there, to help with charting the source of problem (eg disaster, global warming) as my Master mentioned in her talk, "And when we have found the root cause of disasters, we'll know how to eliminate disasters." Hopefully to fulfill my Dharma, I  want to help to eliminate disasters. Sigh, it is a big responsibility right, but as I mentioned above, service is my poetry. Just like poets, they never get tired of seeing the beauty to translate it into words. I must be like them, I see the beauty of the world through service, and I want to conserve/preserve it for everyone to experience it -- even generations after.

Namaste.

PS this picture moved me. (picture from wikipedia)

This is a map of biodiversity hotspots (regional). The Philippines is number 18, kudos!!!
