The Mysterious Tea Bag

This is a very crazy story

So, I was given a tea box gift as care package from one of my good friends and it looks very posh, please see the picture below

It is a nice numbered tea bag with description as to which tea one should drink according to moods or day of the week, this picture below can help a lot

Though the letters and numbers are small, you can zoom in to read them easily. Anyways, they are labeled by numbers with corresponding varieties of tea. This is how it looks inside when one opens the tea box

Then of course, we can find the numbered tea bags inside a nicely designed tea bag paper containers

To continue the story, I ran out of my usual genmaicha looseleaf one day which prompted me to bring this tea box to the office. It was okay sitting on the metal cabinet for a long time, untouched by any pests or rats which may want to devour any food items left in our workspace.

However, come one weekend, the rats might have gotten too hungry because it was a long weekend, when I got to the office and opened my cabinet, lo and behold the tea box was torn apart with such small teethmarks on all the edges and the tea bags were spread all over, looking like it suffered a blow of ravenous scoundrel. It was indeed a shocking mess.

But remember, the teabags were numbered and I only drank one tea bag the previous week so I made a quick accounting of the tea bags that were lying messily on the cabinet, fortunately some remained untouched so I still recovered them but some were desperately torn apart, so I just decided to trash them into the garbage can.

This story gets exciting, as I was counting all the tea bag numbers, all 24 of them were accounted for, except for one tea bag, you have a guess which number is missing?

Of course, what else, the tea bag number 13!

I derisively laughed at myself, why oh why does this number keep bugging me.

Will the tea bag number 13 please show up? But no, the world will not listen. It didn't show any signs that it will come up any time soon. So, work started and on I went with my day.

However, today in the office (which is actually yesterday afternoon, because I am typing now in my house around 5:20AM) I saw a very weird thing, please take a look my dears:

Wedged between the folders, I saw a familiar looking paper bag. Upon closer inspection, it was a tea bag and yes, of course, when I checked the number, it turned out to be that missing tea bag. Finally found after 2 weeks of being missing.

You can see the teethmarks at the bottom of the tea bag, but why did the scoundrel hid this tea bag from me?

Well, maybe the office rat has a fondness for this number haha!
Okay end of story, I need to prepare for work.

Laters again my dears.

Feels so stuck like glue

Define commitment:

     1.
the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc.

 2. an engagement or obligation that restricts freedom of action.

Been thinking about this for a while now.
This for me sounds the heaviest and most complicated word.

When someone mentions commitment, suddenly for me it feels like the air was sucked out. Or the waves stopped crashing in the shore. It feels like the world stops its harmonious dance.
The last time it was mentioned to me (which was just recently by the way) my stomach turned upside down, like I lost my sense of balance and then I got dizzy too. Actually not necessarily in that order. I am still reeling from the less than good effects of that word until now.

Questions:
Can't people be in a relationship without commitment?
And what is commitment anyway?
I have no answers now, I am looking for some answers,
I may take a long while before I come up with one.

Anyways, let's listen to this beautiful song :)

To be near you performed by Viktoria
Are you just a habit
Or some kind of addiction
Can't seem to get you out of my system
What good you have done to me
Feels so stuck like glue
Turn the pages in my head. there's only you

Something hidden and not easily seen

An open letter to sanity,
creativity,
sleep, rest,
subconscious, ego,
mind,
soul,
myself,
the other,
heart:

Seconds, minutes,
hours passed, but my mind couldn’t
come up with anything at all.
I never thought it was possible to stare at the blank screen for hours, but it was.
I never thought it was possible to not type a single word after staring at the screen for hours, but it was.
I never thought it was possible to yell at myself soundlessly, but it was.
So many possibilities.
And you are one of them.

You have been
occupying
my
mind more than
usual lately.
Perhaps that’s why
it’s not
functioning
well at
all.
Need my sleep.

Good reads

Here are some interesting quotes to make us think and feel about our journey in our lives so far:
You’re a gorgeous mystery with a wild heart and a lofty purpose. But like all of us, you also have a dark side — a part of your psyche that snarls and bites, that’s unconscious and irrational, that is motivated by ill will or twisted passions or instinctual fears.
It’s your own personal portion of the world’s sickness: a mess of repressed longings, enervating wounds, ignorant delusions, and unripe powers. You’d prefer to ignore it because it’s unflattering or uncomfortable or very different from what you imagine yourself to be.
– Rob Brezsny
A line from the movie, "A Dangerous Beauty"

Veronica Franco: I confess that as a young girl I loved a man who would not marry me for want of a dowry. I confess I had a mother who taught me a different way of life, one I resisted at first but learned to embrace. I confess I became a courtesan, traded yearning for power, welcomed many rather than be owned by one. I confess I embraced a whore's freedom over a wife's obedience. I confess I find more ecstasy in passion than in prayer. Such passion is prayer. I confess I pray still to feel the touch of my lover's lips. His hands upon me, his arms enfolding me... Such surrender has been mine. I confess I pray still to be filled and enflamed. To melt into the dream of us, beyond this troubled place, to where we are not even ourselves. To know that always, this is mine. If this had not been mine-if I had lived any other way-a child to her husband's will, my soul hardened from lack of touch and lack of love... I confess such endless days and nights would be a punishment far greater than you could ever mete out. You, all of you, you who hunger so for what I give yet cannot bear to see that kind of power in a woman. You call God's greatest gift- ourselves, our yearning, our need to love - you call it filth and sin and heresy... I repent there was no other way open to me. I do not repent my life.
