As always, I am grateful for the year that was. It was filled with endings, beginnings, uncertainties and fateful encounters. Magical and absolutely unfamiliar. Definitely some of what happened last year will continue to spill into this year, but I still have to filter and define most of them. What I am really sure of now is that I am growing to be more accepting of myself. I am more connected to my core. Maybe adulting is not that bad after all but it takes a lot of effort and willingness to go through this journey.

To close this, let me bid 33 goodbye and hello 34.

O-well, eight days to go

Am turning 27 in eight days. But bahumbug, universe you have been very keen on letting me know about the adventures and misadventures that life has to offer. Maybe you need to cut some slack? ^^

But as I have been enjoying loving my vacations lately, it makes more sense if I maximize all my precious minutes in these provinces that I visit.
Well, my stars gave me one big surprise early this month and guess what, the compass points north!

My birthday week recap: Fati and I

The week before this one was super duper busy! Whew, met up with so many loyal and loving friends, all carrying good news of growth and positivity. At night before sleeping, I often think to myself how blessed I am to have such wonderful connections and stable relationships. When all else fails, I know that I shared myself and my life with the most awesome people. These friends constitute my core, I become whole because of them. And on my 26th year, I dedicate this week remembering the past week that made all the difference from my recent birthdays. In this journey of my life, I came to a point when I can say that life is more meaningful because of the genuine connection that we make with friends we meet along the way, no matter how uneasy the terrain and how bumpy the ride. And is it not worth saying that those friends who decide to stay and keep in touch during rough patches deserve our love and care and support from now until that awesome forever?!

So for my 26th year, I celebrate friendship. This is the stuff that life is made of <3

Candles show us the light!
The photo above is Buddha Day at Marikina. I and Fati were holding candles for a prayer for humanity. (May 13, 2012)

Happy birthday Doc Ronald (late post)

Well what more can I say, happy birthday doc!
After more than ten years of friendship, since our wild high school days up to our adulthood, hard-to-make-decision days to serious-talk-over-cups-of-coffee to driving to our future schools (you med, me a place to teach) I wish you all the determination and happiness in the world. May you have lotsa caffeine filled days with people you love and cherish.
